If your heading Þórsmörk on road 261 a few meters before crossing road 250, on the leftside you pass Gluggafossa – an nice “small” two leveled waterfall as an advance party for the great Þórsmörk.

There were lots of aggresive arctic tern at flatey (Breiðafjörður), that kick you in your head, if you get to close to their breeding area
You can hear the river right next to the really nice wild hotpod Seljavellir.
