slowly driving over the Ristarhlið on the way back from Grettislaug on the gravel road 748. Gettislaug is a really nice natural bath – really at the end of nowhere. They already got a nice campsite there. Sorry, lots of wind on the recording.
A small village, but a huge fish festival. The day before all the streets were full of people in all ages crawling from one house to the next to get a fish-soup. On the next day the great fish festival – free fish in every way of preparation – even fish icecream! http://www.fiskidagur.muna.is
quite a lot cars going over that Ristarhlið with a nice resonance frequency. This one is located in the a geo-thermal around Mývatn on road 1 where 863 is heading to near Kaftla.

a Ristarhlið in a lava field (hraun) west from Reykjahlíð / Mývatn
Here again you can hear the scratching breaks of our old Saab. This Ristarhlið can be found between Vogar and Reykjahlíð. If you get there, got off in Vogar and have break in “the cowshed“. really good food and lovely people.
this one also got a nice resonance frequency. not sure about the exact place, but its on road 1 on the way to Mývatn (close to a N1 gasstation) when coming from Akureyri.
A really nice creaking wooden floor and talking people in a charming shop called “Flora” (floraflora.is) in Akureyri.
two drive-overs: one slow and you can hear the scratching noise of the Saabs breaks, the second another faster car. on road 85 right after Húsavík before crossing Skjálfandafljót.
